The first Saturday is the opening, the next Saturday we will have workshops taught by our talented Artists and finally the last Saturday of the group exhibition we will have some live drawing performance where Artists will draw on a paper.

Happy Meal I

Piya - Thorns of Grief

14,000 THB – 50x70cm – Oil pastel on canvas (2024)

Inspired by still-life impressionists, bursting with my childlike joy, a celebration of the simple pleasures I found in everyday life between food and nature around me. This painting is not a still life capturing realism, it’s a snapshot of a memory, a cherished moment of happiness, and a simple act of sharing a meal with those we love.

Thick skinned

Piya - Thorns of Grief

4,000 THB

Its a 40 dm round canvas acrylic painting with snake sculpture.
I wrote a poem to accompany this piece.
Thick Skinned
When darkness is blinding
and silence is deafening
when you’re free of others’ judgement
and you’re left by yourself thinking
What kind of thoughts plague you?
How much negativity consumes you?
What do you.. tell yourself?
As outside is not a mere worry
Not minding it is easy
Its inside that greatly concerns me
I’m supposed to take care of me
Not be my worst enemy

After my planet went “BOOM!” because of too much spice, I traveled to another galaxy. I found a burger place at a red-star pit stop. Their burgers were really good! They used meat from local animals with four legs, all fluffy and round, and they even made funny noises and silly dance.

Twinssex represents all genders.

Their bodies resembled those of newborn babies. No divisions exist.

Possess the freedom to think and act.

As in an ideal commonwealth.

If Buddha images represent Buddhism by serving as a reminder in Buddhists’ minds to do good deeds or be a good person, twinsex represents gender equality.

And I truly hope so.

This MAGNITUDE is a stunning exploration of the dynamic relationship between landscape and architecture. It captures a decade-long journey across different continents, highlighting the intricate interplay between natural and built environments. The image juxtaposes urban and natural settings, showcasing how local culture and climate influence the landscape. A solitary, ambiguous figure stands within the scene, providing a sense of scale and invoking a divine or ethereal presence. This figure symbolizes humanity’s dual role as both conqueror and vulnerable being within nature’s vast expanse. The photograph reflects the beauty, complexity, and diversity of these environments, inspiring reflection and appreciation for the spaces we inhabit and shape through human creativity and ingenuity.

After a long break from working with acrylics, I have found myself returning to this medium. In my small-scale works and watercolour works, I am always aiming for realism. I make acrylic art for a different reason, which is to make an impact: to be boldly displayed. Here in Bangkok, I find that this busy city is always exciting me, and my latest acrylics are bright colours painted fairly quickly over a neutral background. It speaks to me of the constant movement here in Bangkok, and of the many connections made on a day out on the streets here. The background, though subtle, is built gradually over many days and is composed of many layers, which is a metaphor for the many layers of life and Bangkok culture.

Light in the dark

Piya - Thorns of Grief

1,500 THB – The size of the artwork is 39×52 cm

My work is based on the principle of intuition: I spend a long time drawing vague strokes, sketching meters of paper, but at some point, the work starts to come to life, details emerge, and a story is born. For your exhibition, I offer a cute and fairy-tale-like piece that tells a story about dreams, loneliness, closeness, and miracles. The main character of the work is a lighthouse that flies and shines somewhere in the darkness, but at the darkest moment it flies up to each person, drops anchor and returns the light of hope to the person. The piece is made by my hands on paper using Chinese mineral pigments manufactured using traditional technologies.

This is a series of quick sketches that I made via video calls with models from different countries: Russia, Poland, Germany, UK. I’m inspired by the work I’m doing at the moment. I like to work quickly because I believe that the less time an artist has, the more natural his graphics will be. Speed helps me develop my style, intuition and reflexes. I also enjoy working with nudes because nudity creates an atmosphere of sincerity, vulnerability and trust. These works were done using crayons on A4 paper.

Alter Dimension

Media : Acrylic on Canvas – 50×50 cm

Digital size: 25×25 cm (2953 x 2953 px) 300 dpi

This is representation of my art journey, The distance between reality and imagination is very thin, only differentiated through action, but sometimes imagination is more lively than reality, only reality is what makes imagination become reality, this is where alter dimension is born by presenting imaginary figures who always accompany me when living my life.

Chupa Pop

Piya - Thorns of Grief

Gouache and ink on paper

My artwork tends towards the graphic, with isolated subjects. As an illustrator, I am largely influenced by Ukeo E, French comic books, and Winsor McCay. I arrived in Bangkok over three decades ago. Chupa Pops are one of the familiar objects that are very Thai, once ubiquitous, and now instill a feeling of nostalgia in me.

We, The Boys

Piya - Thorns of Grief

This is, primarily, a charcoal on Nepalese Lokta paper artwork – Price: 10,000 thb

We, The Boys is a series of artwork that I have been working, and experimenting, on for the past year.

It indirectly narrates a very important, and somewhat personal, topic that remains a taboo–that keeps eating the innocence of young boys.

But just like the reality we live in, this artwork remains shy and timid to tell you the entire story.

This Title Was Lost Amongst The Chaos

Piya - Thorns of Grief

This is an ink on paper artwork that has been coloured digitally – Price: 2,500 thb

Piya - Thorns of Grief

Not for sale – The artwork depicts a mermaid’s longing desire, adorned with numerous lotus flowers, leaves, and touches of gold. The concept was born from a deeply personal inspiration rooted in themes of beauty, nature, and introspection. Each lotus flower and leaf symbolizes purity, enlightenment, and the passage of time, evoking a sense of serenity and longing that resonates with us. The mermaid, a mythical creature often associated with longing and the lure of distant shores, serves as a poignant metaphor for yearning and desire. Her presence in the artwork symbolizes the depths of emotion and the unattainable dreams that fuel our imagination. 50cm x 60cm on canvas – mixed media (acrylics, watercolors, pastels and gold leaf.)

The Star Lady #1

Piya - Thorns of Grief

3,500 THB – 24×30 cm – Technique: Mixed Media on Canvas

I personally love the shape of stars and I’ve always wanted to create some characters myself. If you are my friend and if you are Thai, I always called myself DAO which mean star in English. The funny thing with this nickname was from an old advertisements phrase. I’m not really sure what it was but the phrase was “คุณหลอกดาว (Khun Lok DAO)” which means oh you lied to me again! It was sad but funny so this phrase was spreading wild in Thailand. Moreover the meaning of the star to me is something that can shine by itself. So this character was meant to give people the encouragement and also cheer up everybody even when they are in the darkest circumstances of  life. Always remember to be a star, you can shine in your own way like a north star without needing to wait for someone to lead you!

Noise Repetition

The artwork can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/328831863

Noise Repetition is an audio-visual piece that experiments with sound-making through real-time video rendering. It is a screen recording of raw, self-recorded video footage that is uploaded and previewed in After Effects. The method is to not manually manipulate the sounds, but rather let the software do it on its own.
