Laputa
Digital: Photography modified in Adobe Photoshop
During the lockdown in Bangkok, I took many many photos from my balcony. One of those days, the pollution was especially bad and I thought how nice it would be to be above the pollution. This piece came from that thought. I created a city in the sky made from the city from below. By viewing the piece we are unsure of the reason for the pollution. Is it because the city above is pumping pollution below? Or the opposite, is the pollution from below what is keeping the city in the sky afloat? It is completely up to the viewers interpretation. I titled this piece Laputa because Laputa is a flying island described in Jonathan Swift’s book Gulliver’s Travels.

Evolution
This piece is called “Evolutionâ€. In biology, evolution is the change in the characteristics of a species over several generations and relies on the process of natural selection. This is a surreal bird on another planet. So, it’s a vision of a fictional evolution in another time. This piece was inspired by nature itself and it’s essence of imagination. This is a mixed media work, which is my own style called “Abstract diffusionâ€
Battle Arena
I’ve been playing this game called “Don’t Starve Together” with friends who are in different parts of the world. We get together once a week to play this amazing game and it makes us forget that we’re far apart from each other. There’s a character I play, WX-78, inspired me to draw my own robot character.
Science Fiction Movies I like
There are many science fiction movies I’ve enjoyed as time passes. I selected three movies that I loved in my childhood (E.T., 1984), adolescence (STAR WARS Episode 1, 1999), and adulthood (Star Trek Beyond, 2016) for this painting. The way I watch movies has changed over time (e.g. TV, Theater, laptop). It is exciting to imagine, ten years from now, which science fiction movie I will like and how the way I will watch it.
Travel Bubble
This was a hard theme for me, I am not familiar with science fiction and do not like to read nor watch anything related to the theme. But I do find the aliens portrayed in the media kind of cute and the travel ban due to the pandemic inspired me to paint this artwork. I tried to use cool, futuristic and exaggerated gouache colour palette to give this painting a sci-fi feel.
STAR WARS – Luke, I am your father!!
CyborgPretty
This was a work in progress to test this software and happened to fall in line with this month theme! I wanted to experiment with a new software, specifically to render realistically and at the same time there was a big hype about cyberpunk 2077 game, so I guess it inspired me.

Save the Planet
This was an excuse/challenge to draw a MECH SUIT. If there was a subtitle to this image would be: “Save the world and when you do, take the time to pat the dog.” I wanted to drive the observer’s eye and if they observe longer they should be able to get the backstory.
